i'm tired of raffi, tired of singing twinkle twinkle too. i just can't belt these songs out with any gusto, its painful.. and then when i'm dancing to these songs with the g i'm thinking,
oh god he's going to get the white man's overbite so early... i've shelved the nursery rhyme sh
ite for the moment and decided to take a field trip with the G back to the 80's to revisit some classics he can really dance to.
Mr. Roboto by the Styx is a fun one especially since the G has become particularly fascinated with Robots. He thinks everything is a robot: the atm is a robot, the computer is a robot, our microwave is a robot and my favorite the loud intercom that belts out specials at Fred Meyer "must be a robot mama." The beauty of this song is you can make robot moves a part of everything you do.
Try it in the mirror

Try it when your waving goodbye to a friend. Try it when your getting dressed...very slowly and then very, very fast.
Its a cool party trick too.
G, do the robot for Ben and Katie. G do the robot for Grampo. Nope, he can't ties his shoes yet and he still has accidents on the way to the toilet but man can he do a mean impression of a robot :).

I love that song! Isn't it so funny how the songs we once shook our booties to, now provide entertainment when our children dance to them. I was just having this conversation with Mr.Mayhem.....why are kid shows and kid entertainers so COMPLETELY annoying. I am working on a post about Higgly Town Heroes as we speak! :)
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I will certainly be back to yours.
too funny...
the g-man cracks me up. I love that everything is a robot. for a long time my little dude thought everything *must need batteries*.
